ReCollection: An exploration of the early history of Rockhampton and the surrounding region presents new work by contemporary artists Michelle Black, Clare Ford, Derek Lamb, Peta Lloyd and Belinda McGrath. Through diverse print-based techniques and processes, the artist’s work responds to notions of place and history and is inspired by two publications; ‘The Early History of Rockhampton’ by JTS Bird, and ‘Early Rockhampton’ by JG Pattison.

Presented in parallel with exhibition 'ReCollection', the artist in conversation event series provides deeper insight into the practice of artists based in the CQ region. Hear Michelle Black, Belinda McGrath and Clare Ford speak about their works in this informal conversation-style event. Have the opportunity to see the exhibition and engage in meaningful discussion.
