Preserve: to bottle, pickle, or similarly prepare for future use. Jar: a rigid, cylindrical or slightly conical container, typically made of glass, ceramic, or plastic, with a wide mouth or opening that can be closed with a lid, screw cap, lug cap, cork stopper, roll-on cap, crimp-on cap or press-on cap. Rockhampton Art Gallery is taking the classic fete bottle stall to another level with our Summer Merilyn Luck Gallery exhibition Preserved: Art in a Jar.

This group exhibition was extended as an expression of interest opportunity to artists residing in Rockhampton, Livingstone, Gladstone, Banana, Woorabinda, Central Highlands, Isaac, Barcaldine, Blackall-Tambo, Longreach, Winton, Barcoo, Diamantina and Boulia.

The remit's only restriction was that all works be able to reside in a jar, bottle or like vessel. All artworks are on sale at an awesomely affordable price point of $49.50 per piece. Making Preserved: Art in a Jar the perfect opportunity to pick up unique and affordable artwork for Christmas!
