Exhibitions and Collection Officer

A rare opportunity has become available at the Rockhampton Art Gallery for a temporary full time Exhibitions and Collections Officer until 30 September 2019.In this position you will contribute to the development, research, and presentation of exhibitions, art projects, and art programs at the Rockhampton Art Gallery and other sites. You will be responsible for the safe handling, documentation, and storage of the collection, monitoring the physical operations and maintenance of the Gallery and temporary exhibition displays. The position also assists with the acquisition, research and exhibition of the collection and public enquiries.

Arts Practitioners/Educators Opportunity

Rockhampton Art Gallery is seeking professional arts practitioners or arts educators to facilitate arts programs to complement our upcoming exhibitions throughout 2018.

Arts programs can include jewellery workshops, multimedia, painting, photography, sculpting, drawing and crafts for the delivery of short courses, term-based programs, masterclasses, workshops, school holiday programs, and much more. All ideas are welcome and will be considered.

Merilyn Luck Gallery

The Merilyn Luck Gallery is a small-scale exhibition space on the Gallery’s first floor. Offering the choice of 18.5 running metres of wall space, or a five metre long showcase, Central Queensland artists are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), outlining their exhibition proposals.

The Merilyn Luck Gallery is open to Central Queensland artists residing in the following regions and shires: Rockhampton, Livingstone, Gladstone, Banana, Woorabinda, Central Highlands, Isaac, Barcaldine, Blackall-Tambo, Longreach, Winton, Barcoo, Diamantina and Boulia. Expressions of Interest are now closed for the 2016 exhibition slots.
